During User Experience Design course at UAL, London, a component of the course required conducting user research, brainstorming ideas, creating and testing a live prototype for mobile devices.
Brief: Design an application to avoid food waste and have a healthy family.
Login and Profile
The opening screen for the the app. Users are first given the option to create a profile,
giving them the ability to save dietary requirements as well as past recipes.
Users can add family members or friends or anyone they wish to cook for, by tapping on the People tab.
This allows them to personalise dietary requirements and allergies that the person may or may not have.
Users can search new or past recipes by clicking on the the recipes tab.
Cooking options include; particular people with specific dietary requirements,
meal types, time duration, and difficultly level. Users can also include recipes in the
search that that are found in the user's refrigerator and pantry cupboard.
Tracker allows the user to track how many items are currently in their
refrigerator or pantry at any particular moment.
The app links with the supermarket and the purchased items from the receipt
are instantly added to the list. Items can easily be added or removed manually.
Wasted items can also be tracked.
The user can manually add how much food has been wasted every time they throw it away.
The statistics are calculated over time.
